An international profile

Born in Germany and having grown up in the United States before settling in Monaco, Sean Blair has adapted to several cultures. From childhood, he was fascinated by sailing and participated in regattas. Passionate about rowing, he reached an excellent level and was part of the Monaco team during his adolescence. At 20 years old, he left Europe for Oceania for a year-long journey of self-discovery in Papua New Guinea, where he learned navigation and discovered his vocation.

Upon his return to Europe, Sean knew his career would be at sea. Passionate about his profession, he spent about twenty seasons aboard superyachts, starting as a deckhand, then as first mate, before becoming a captain. During these years, he managed crews of up to twenty people and eventually became the captain of the Black Legend, a Mangusta 165 E of 50 meters built in 2017, an exceptional yacht embodying the excellence of luxury yachting. He supervised the construction of the Black Legend, the first entirely black boat from the Overmarine shipyard, currently for sale for just under 27 million euros. Additionally, he acted as the owner's representative, managing a fleet including the Black Legend S (19m sailboat) and Black Sails (40m sailboat).

Through his various experiences as a captain, Sean earned the trust of yacht owners. Multilingual (English, French, Italian, Spanish, and German) and with perfect knowledge of mechanics and shipyards, he supervised yacht construction in Germany and the Netherlands. In 2019, he decided to end his career as a captain and became General Manager of Monaco Marine at the La Seyne-sur-Mer shipyard, one of the most prestigious companies in the sector. In 2022, he founded SCB Yacht Solutions, a yachting consulting company. He established SCB Yacht Solutions in Marseille and worked full-time on Composite Services Refit, a company specializing in refits operating at Port Corbières, as Associate General Manager and acquirer of the Marseille-based company.

In 2024, Sean found himself in a situation where opportunities were abundant. His refit clients were fully satisfied with his work and wanted to entrust him with the sale of their boats. However, he lacked the time to develop this activity, especially as CS Refit planned to merge with a company specializing in engines and propulsion during the first quarter of 2025. It was then that he recalled a discussion he had with William Santoni, whom he had known for about fifteen years. William had shared his ambition to launch and offer a comprehensive yachting service. Sean decided to reconnect with him in late 2024 to bring this vision to life.

A new era

In late 2024, William Santoni brought his strategic vision to SCB Yacht Solutions. A graduate of Grenoble École de Management with experience in team management, he is young, dynamic, and motivated by a comprehensive approach to yachting. Multilingual (English, French, and Italian) and of Corsican origin, he has a strong ambition to work in synergy with Italy and the Mediterranean basin.

William has always been passionate about navigation, but at the age of 18, he put his dreams aside to pursue his career first in France, far from the Mediterranean coast, then in England. Now back on his native land, he is not simply returning to reconnect with the sea, but to put to use everything he has learned. His experience within large corporations and companies, whether established or growing, allows him to bring fresh perspective and structure SCB Yacht Solutions with an innovative and rigorous approach.

His goal? To build a team dedicated to yacht sales, charter, and search, and to bring boats into the shipyard to offer a 360° vision of yachting, from refit to transaction – a service previously reserved for large shipyards on the French Riviera.
